A Multi-Cultural Amazing Race Phuket
It’s been a little while since I’ve posted a program review but it’s raining heavily today and I’ve got a bit of time on my hands this afternoon.
Speaking of rain, we’ve had a fair amount recently. Including every day leading up to this particular program and every day afterwards. Somehow, on the day itself though, it was hot and sunny.
I’m often asked what we do if it’s raining on event day. Is the event cancelled?
Absolutely not. Our contingency plan for an outdoor event consists of 3 levels so, depending on how bad the weather is, we are able to deal with it.
This particular Amazing Race Phuket was a large group of over 110 pax from an international food company. Participants came from China, Thailand, Singapore, Brunei, USA…and a few other countries that I can’t remember. Hang on…the Philippines…that was another one.
How could I forget the Filipinos? Always singing. The Karaoke masters of the Universe.
Anyway, the Amazing Race is always a high-energy affair and with over 100 pax, even more so. A 0900 kick-off meant an early start for my setup team and I at Four Points by Sheraton Phuket Patong Beach Resort but I’m getting used to early mornings. My dogs have trained me well.
